Although Wal-Mart has never excluded homosexuals from being employees, customers, or suppliers, the company wanted to be more closely identified with promoting the homosexual agenda. Wal-Mart is now a "corporate member" of the NGLCC, putting their approval on the NGLCC's efforts to abolish the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman. A Wal-Mart vice president will serve as an advisor to the NGLCC, helping them promote homosexual marriage.
Wal-Mart agreed to give $25,000 to the NGLCC and to pay for two conferences scheduled by NGLCC.
Also, Wal-Mart will give homosexual-owned businesses special treatment when making purchases. Companies not owned by homosexuals will be moved down the list.

For one thing you get married in the eyes of the Lord, not the state. So who cares if these people get married. They have a right to have their lives and property protected just like everyone else. The same rights NOT MORE!
The thing that get me is the special treatment shit. So now it is better to be gay than stright in the eyes of Wal-Mart, which is not right. I don't think that gays should be mistreated in anyway but they should not be rewarded for their choice. This is just one more nail in the family coffin and we all know that in the new world there will be no room for crazy people who want to have a family.

Yes, homosexuality is a sin but so are a lot of the things that I do everyday. I look at the new Mustang and want it. I see a pritty girl and my mind goes dam, before I can correct it. I hit my knee on something and I say gosh barn but that is not what first came to my mind. So, I struggle with sin everyday.
A couple hundred years ago I would have been killed by the church for what I believe, so I listen to Jesus and judge not.

Yeah Yeah Yeah - I typed a lengthy comment about not trying to judge and how i don't mean to go around and be hateful to people who sin..... etc. etc. etc.

What is it about society that has made us apologize for not embracing sin. If we all agree that homosexuality is a sin - then why do we constantly run at the mouth to make excuses for it? Do we ever say - I love liars? I love to have my shit stolen? People who cuss me out are great?
Yes- A sin is a sin - but which other sins do we rationalize away? I think we've been conditioned to believe that we have to embrace it. We tend to not look at homosexuality as a sin but rather as something that's different. We treat it like a difference in skin color or ethnicity. It isn't.
And another thing....
If homosexuality is a sin (which I think we all agree that it is) then in order to not do it, wouldn't it make sense that homosexuals aren't afforded the right to be married in society. Isn't that the least society could do in order to not condone the sin. Not peep into bedroom windows at night or beat people up - just the simple gesture of not allowing gay marriage in our society.
Would you say that a thief should be allowed to steal? I profess that I am a thief - that's my sin of choice - the one that I embrace that makes me unique - now let me steal.

It is ridiculous to say that a thief (or another type of sinner) can't get married. That has nothing to do with their sin. You wouldn't say a murderer shouldn't be able to marry - you might say they can't own a gun. You wouldn't say a child molester can't get married - but you wouldn't let them own a daycare. A sin is a sin right? So why do we make it easier for some to sin and harder for others? (I'm not comparing a gay person to a murderer so please don't go to that tired rhetoric.)

I'm not trying to judge. I know it's hard to believe after all of that but I'm not. I've known gays and I've treated them all with kindness and respect. I've known liars and cheats - I treat them with caution... but kindness too. I sin everyday - I know that. I also know that if I were to kill or steal that society would deal with me in a certain way. I definately wouldn't be given an incentive to sin again package.
That's all I'm trying to say. Why do we treat some sins favorably. And if we do treat them favorably, why do we turn around and complain when they are given additional benefits?

i really can't argue your point because i simply don't look at life in the same way you do, or the same way warrman does. nothing is a sin in my eyes and the whole concept of sin (in my opinion) is used to oppress people and keep them subserviant. in my world you simply live, you do what you wish, you make up your own moral code as you go along. if what you do in life makes you happy, benefits your life, then that's what matters.
i guess i don't look at people and immediately assign sexuality to them. i just look at people as people. i don't care who you kiss when the lights go out (or stay on..whatever..). in fact most of the people i know are not straight, not gay. people are generally bisexual by nature...not that most of them would ever admit to it. (lol)

I understand where you are coming from anon. I am not embracing what they do, I just don't have any control over it. I hate that homosexuals are all over the place and glorified, but you do know that it will be their downfall? If homosexuals are allowed to get married than the government will know who and where they are for round up. Just about two months ago the government came out and said homosexuallity is a mental disorder. See,now they are nuts, as the media encourages and glorifies it. It is a double edge sword that will get them in the end. Another thing is you do not get married in the eyes of the state, why should we have to get permission from the state to get married? i was simply using that as an example. actually if we really want to get into that aspect of it all, then overweight people shouldn't be allowed to eat and homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to have sex. shouldn't have anything to do with marriage anyway. marriage is a legal contract between two individuals and the state. nothing more. you can be married legally without love, and you can love without being legally married. lol. so really, in their hearts, homosexuals who love one another are already married anyway..they just don't get the same benefits as married couples but they also don't get the same penalties either. they actually have it better because they don't have a tax penalty for being married. if we want it to be equal across the board, then they should be just as penalized for being a domestic couple as the rest of us.
so anyway, yes, i understand that the two aren't really in the same ballpark, i was just using a simple example for illustration.

happiness is .... being at peace with yourself, finding a place within yourself that is serene. it is obtaining a higher plane of existence, yet still striving to become more. happiness is a state of being, a nirvana. it isn't physical comfort, it is being one with everything and finding the niche in which you belong. sharing your ideas with like minded people, achieving goals.
you can obtain happiness by focusing your energy on things that matter. by becoming open to new experiences and by sharing those experiences with others.
i don't really care if someone worships christ or not. i think it's sad that people blindly follow without truly researching. but it's not my place to judge who or what someone worships. whatever works for you works for me. it's not my place to tell you what to do.
i don't have a higher standard for them. they put that standard on themselves by making themselves seem more important or more CORRECT than any other religion. nothing can coexist with christianity and i find that to be sad. so no, i don't put a higher standard on them, they do that to themselves by being (usually) two faced and hateful. and they like to pretend they can do no wrong and their beliefs are never flawed.

About homosexuality - I don't have all of anything figured out but this is what I do think. I think God calls us to not engage in it. Now - on its face it seems like a good idea that people "love" each other - and that it shouldn't matter if it's man on man love or woman on woman. I get that concept,I really do. But, we are told not to do it. So why not then? The Bible shows us different lessons about homosexuality. Remember the angels that were surrounded and they were being told "come out so we may know thee". Something happened in the homosexual's hearts. It wasn't about "love" anymore. I have seen story after story of how sex is used as a control mechanism. How if you do sick things to people you can control them - mainly through shame. I think homosexuality destroys a person and we just don't understand how or why.
I remember one time when i was listening to a radio show, a man was on the air and he was discussing how anal sex is in demonic posession. Now, I admit that I don't remember the rest of the story.... the point is - that has stuck with me. Something about that statement rang true. I think that a person changes inside (from what God inteneded you to be) into something else.
I don't know - these are just my observations. I think there is more to it then why can't two people love one another. There is a reason behind it and I don't think it's "because I said so".
I'm not here to change minds. I just wonder if anybody else has ever thought about it this way.

It isn't a bunch of reading but rather archives with people who have studied the bible and share their thoughts on different things. The show isn't just about religion but it plays a big part in it. The hosts are very fair and I have learned quite a bit from their guests. At one point in time they were on RBN.
They have Tom Horn, Mike Heiser, Patrick Heron, etc...
It has really helped me to understand things about how the world was and was meant to be. It helps put flesh on the bones of Jesus and helps me understand Satan. You'd just have to go and listen to it to see how alot of the things make sense. I know that typical bible preaching leaves people with more questions and only leaves you wanting for more. I've been there. These guys really have some theories that clicked with me. They discuss ancient cultures and show you how their gods were actually fallen angels. Things like that.
Anyway..... If you're interested or have the time you might want to go there. Up to you.
